Expertise
The Bioprocess Engineering and Microbiology departments at WUR have extensive expertise in microalgae strain engineering, high-throughput cultivation, strain selection, pilot scaling, and downstream processing.
Role
As the project coordinator, WUR oversees all activities and leads the development of enhanced microalgal solar cells, including genetic engineering, to increase oil production, CO₂ fixation and energy storage.
